Jesus Healed A Gentile

Luke 8: v33 Then the demons came out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep bank.

Jesus healed a gentile, in gentile territory and
demonstrated to all that His power is the greatest. It
was His power that struck fear into the demons and
commanded them to enter the pigs before their
demise. The result of this single act was freedom for
a man who had been made a slave to demons.

We are made to realise that real freedom is a gift.

The freed man ‘begged’ to follow Jesus, after his
healing. However God has made a unique vocation to
each of His children. This man’s vocation was to
‘Return home and tell how much God has done for
you’ and he proclaimed the word of God ‘all over
town.’
