God Has Invited Everyone

Luke 14:7 - 14. Jesus’ teaching focuses on how we treat others, especially those among us who are unable to “pay us back.”

The people that attend our functions or where we sit at a wedding party may not determine our status in society. However, we still have ways of validating our popularity today. Social media tools such as Facebook or Instagram helps us to stay in touch with our loved ones; the number of ‘likes’ our posts receive can also give us a nice ego boost.

Jesus’ warns us about the company we keep. He teaches us of the importance of being humble and to be inclusive of everyone both cool and not so cool “for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” After all, God has invited EVERYONE to the greatest banquet in heaven. Our personal invitation is written in the bible.
